When to Use This
Send this before the account becomes severely delinquent. Coming to them with a specific plan shows responsibility and saves them the work of proposing terms. The automatic payment offer builds trust.
What Not to Say
Don't ignore the debt and hope it disappears. Avoid proposing amounts you can't actually sustain — broken payment plans damage your credibility. Don't be vague ("I'll pay when I can"). And don't agree to terms that would put you in further financial distress.
