How to Follow Up with Your Boss After No Response
You sent an email to your boss and heard nothing back. It happens constantly, and it does not mean they are ignoring you -- they are probably buried. Here is how to nudge without annoying.
Friendly Nudge

No rush if you need more time, but I wanted to make sure it did not slip through the cracks. Happy to discuss whenever works for you. Thanks, [Your Name]

When to Use This
Use this when: * You sent an important email 2-3+ business days ago * Your boss has not acknowledged or responded * You need their input to move forward * You want to follow up without sounding impatient
What Not to Say
Avoid: * Passive-aggressive language like "as per my last email" * Following up the same day you sent the original * CCing their boss to force a response * Making them feel guilty about being busy * Sending multiple follow-ups in the same week
Follow-Up Message
If You Need to Follow Up
If there is still no response after your follow-up: "Hi [Boss Name], I wanted to circle back one more time on [topic]. I am happy to grab five minutes in person if that is easier than email. Just let me know what works."
